Omega-3 deficiency is a common underlying factor for cancer. Make sure you're getting enough of this essential fatty acid by consuming wild seafood and pasture-raised livestock. Meat from animals that are grass-fed or consume algae (in the case of fish) contain higher amounts of omega-3 fats than feed lot meat. But, not all organic meat comes from grass-fed animals. Read the label or ask your local butcher to ensure you're getting what's best for your body.

Cruciferous vegetables are nutrient packed foods that contain vitamins, minerals and other compounds that can have an anti-cancer effect.

Avoid or limit drinking alcohol

Alcohol consumption, regardless of if you get drunk, can disrupt healthy hormone balance which has shown to increase breast cancer risk.
Therefore, reduce your risk of breast cancer by avoiding alcohol or reducing your alcohol intake to one drink a day. 

What's the definition of a drink? 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of hard liquor.
